Nestled into the hillsides of the Sonoma Valley, but just five minutes from downtown historic Sonoma Plaza sits Sonoma Chalet Cottages and Bed and Breakfast Inn. Offering exceptional lodging to those craving privacy, peace and quiet, Sonoma Chalet is charming, quaint and, admittedly, a little bit quirky. Reminiscent of “Grandma’s House”, our inn features seven unique accommodations, each individually decorated with a wide assortment of antiques, collectibles, objects, fabrics and unique “bric-a-brac” from a bygone era.
Enhanced continental breakfast featuring an extensive collection of colorful ‘Fiestaware’, fresh juice, Starbuck’s coffee, melon or other fresh fruit, cereal, and breads and pastries. ? Breakfast may be served in the privacy of your own cottage or, when it’s warm and sunny, on our large deck just outside the kitchen.
50 miles north of San Francisco on HW101. Take exit HW 37 E to Vallejo. Exit on 121 direction Sonoma.
All rooms and cottages at Sonoma Chalet feature bathrobes, soaps, shampoo, body lotion and bath gel to truly enjoy our large, claw-foot tubs. Our close proximity to a number of wineries and historical sites makes this a particularly pleasant way to see the area.
Set amid sprawling pastures and 100′ eucalyptus trees, Sonoma Chalet is comprised of the main house which is a large turn-of-the-century farm house with four guest rooms, and three private, individual cottages spread among the inn’s three and one-half acres of gently sloping hillside.

Lovely in all regards.
“We were thrilled with this B&B, especially as it sits on an unexpected large lot with a preserved land field next door. The owner, Joe is friendly but not the least intrusive. He provides everything you could ask for in a B&B with good style. The weekend continental breakfast is served overlooking a lovely pasture and hillside.”
“We actually went here years ago, though Oct 15 is the latest I can select. It was a girls weekend of the cabin we stayed in, Napa Valley Winetrain and Horseback Riding. We loved the charm of the cabin and our hosts, enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and the hottub.”
Quaint, Quiet, Quality!
“We loved our stay at Sonoma Chalet and were just fine with the price point given the research into other B&Bs in the area. Joe was a great host, breakfast on the porch was very filling and a good variety of sweet and savory (all cold items, plus hard boiled eggs).”
